Teachers Federation Child Care, Surry Hills, NSW
The Teachers Federation headquarters building required a new child care facility on level 4 of their heritage listed building for their staff.
A 30 pupil child care facility maximised the limited floor area available for 0 to 5 year old children in 3 separate classrooms including cot facilities.
External play facilities were delivered on top of the Federations auditorium. This required special design consideration for screening and acoustic separation to the abutting apartment building and safety for the children being four levels up.
External Project Management Consultancy was also provided by D5D.
