The Regency apartments, designed for Laing Walker, is one of the largest single stage residential and retail projects undertaken in Chatswood and Sydney.
The Regency occupies a complete block in Chatswood.
565 apartments, 5.000 m² of retail spaces and 761 parking spaces in eight basement levels, was constructed on a D+C fast track process with the architectural team being located with the builder, Grocon, on site.
The design features two towers over a leisure centre, retail and car park podium. The podium terrace features an exclusive, outdoor residential pool and waterfall within a varied landscape design.
To engender a diverse design concept, D5D designed a trussed central residential component, spanning between the two towers and over the public leisure and pool centre.
Building approval and fast track full construction was achieved with the use of precast and prefabrication technology in just 20 months.
