Nui Dat House property is owned by the Return Soldiers League of Australia (Queensland) who provide short and long-term accommodation for veterans, ex-service members, their dependants and those who are in need or are facing difficulties.
D5D was engaged to design a new 2 storey complex for aged and affordable housing with basement level car parking to be built in three construction phases.
D5D’s design concept was to create a defined entry with the three buildings wrapping around the central focus, the Nui Dat House which is an existing Queenslander and ex Police Station which will form a central part of the site for the community health and support.
The design comprises up to 42 units which range from studio to single and double bedroom apartments with 52 car spots.
